First of all, to start knowing about me, my name is Rosaura Hinojosa. I was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and I lived in Montreal for 4 years, from 1998 to 2002. That’s why I speak and write a little English. I can tell you that it has been a challenge for me to create this website to express myself in a foreign language, but I’m glad I did it.
My goal is to be useful in life and help others in any matter related to women who want to become new moms, and care of babies.
At the same time during that year, I began to prepare psychologically to have a family. I read several books, firstly to find out how to get pregnant, and secondly to look after my pregnancy. And finally, I got pregnant on September 2008, and my baby was born the 26 of June 2009.
Today I do a lot of research online, to find tips and advice in order to properly raise my baby. I recommend you this book, it is too commercial but it is good “What to Expect When you’re Expecting” from Heidi Eisenberg Murkoff
During my pregnancy, readings and web research helped me a lot. Sincerely, my personal view about doctors is that they are sometimes very short in words, and they explain in scientifically terms that you do not understand. In fact I can tell you that research in the web gave me much more information than my doctor gave me. Of course, doctors are a key for your health and have to make sure your pregnancy goes well, and in case of risks, doctors have the knowledge to get a solution, medically speaking.
Now, I can proudly say that, the learning of taking care of my nephews, my marriage with my lovely husband, and the reading of tons of reliable information, has paid off. Today I have a beautiful baby with an excellent health. My whole family loves him very much. He is a boy that was born with a star, and I’m going to do the impossible so he can keep that star in his life.
